Bathroom Shower Stalls

One of the emerging trends in bathroom remodeling is removing the bath tub and replacing it with fully functional shower stalls.  Many home owners no longer see a bath tub as the best use of space in their bathroom and are switching to extremely practical shower stalls.  Here are some tips on choosing shower stalls.

Shower stalls are a great way to quickly and efficiently clean and groom your body.  Many home owners love shower stalls, because they don’t have time to prep and take a bath and rather not take a shower in a bath tub.  Today’s shower stalls come with great features such as electronically controlled thermostats, massaging water heads and room for two individuals at a time.

One of the most popular feature in today’s shower stalls are massaging water heads.  Not only is the shower head extendable, but many shower heads can give your body a great water massage.  Rotating shower heads can change the thrust of water from a gentle rain to a rhythmic pounding.  Know matter what kind of shower you are in the mood for, shower heads can easily deliver it.

Electronic thermostats are another great feature.  You can electronically set the water temperature to your liking and keep the water at a set temperature throughout your shower.  You no longer have to worry about showers that are too hot or too cold.  If you and your spouse both need to shower for work at the same time, there are many shower stalls that can accompany two adults comfortably and even include two shower heads.  If you are looking to remodel your bathroom, look towards replacing your bath tub with a shower stall.

Bathroom Sinks

One of the key components to a beautifully furnished bathroom is a bathroom sink.  Today, many people are making sure that they pick a bathroom sink that fits the style and functions that are necessary to make their bathroom perfect. Here are some tips on bathroom sinks.

Bathroom sinks come in a variety of sizes, shapes, colors and materials.  A bathroom sink can usually be the centerpiece of the bathroom, so picking one that is functional as well as looks great is important. No matter what your budget, you can usually find a great bathroom sink that will fit your bathroom remodeling needs.

If you are looking for a basic bathroom sink, you can always go with the very popular white porcelain.  Many people are turning to colored porcelains as well as expensive materials such as stone, copper and aluminum.  If you are looking for a very modern look, you might even want to look into brushed stainless steel or glass.  Whatever your style, you can find great sinks to compliment it.

For many do it your selfers, there are plenty of bathroom sinks that take only a couple of hours to install.  Many sinks also come with ready to assemble sink vanities to complete the set.  You can usually find bathroom sinks for almost any budget, from under $50 to over $1,000 depending on the materials and styling.  If you are looking to remodel your bathroom, look into choosing the perfect bathroom sinks.

Luxury Bathroom Accessories

Many people are deciding to remodel their bathroom in order to add luxury amenities.  Bathrooms to many home owners are not only a place to clean, but also a place to enjoy a spa like experience.  Here are a few luxurious amenities that can make any bathroom into a spa.

One of the most popular trends in bathroom remodeling is to add larger size bath tubs with powerful water jets.  While not exactly Jacuzzis, large roman tubs or bath tub spas are a great way to relax and forget about all the day to day stress.

Another great luxurious amenity is heated bathroom floors.  Many home owners are now adding heating elements underneath the tiles near their bath tub or shower.  This is a great way to start your morning, by not having to step on the cold floor when you are wet.  You can also add a towel warmer, which usually works via electricity or gas heat.

If you like to take hot showers in the morning as well as use the mirror in the bathroom for grooming purposes, look into adding fog free mirrors.  Fog free mirrors can cut down on the frustration level waiting for the fog to lift in order to apply make up or shave.  If you are looking to remodel your bathroom, look into adding luxury amenities.
